Margaret Cecil, Countess of Ranelagh (1672-1728) Margaret Cecil, Countess of Ranelagh (1672-1728) was the daughter of the 3rd Earl of Salisbury and evidently so beautiful that Henry Fielding described the heroine of 'Tom Jones', Sophia Western, as ressembling her in a portrait by Kneller.
